Every person has a different story, John Brown seemed to have financial difficulties in his life. He was born on May 9th, 1800, in Torrington, Connecticut. While growing up he had a huge family, it was a very close family. He was an ardent abolitionist who worked with the Underground Railroad and the League of Gileadites and other groups.
Mr.Brown thought that ending slavery meant using violence against a group to abolish it. He was a man unlike others that believed that slavery was wrong. He saw how painful it was to be beaten, specially because they were seen as something else because of their color. He met up with Frederick Douglass in 1887, afterwards he settled in a black community.
John Brown helped many slaves to get freed, he helped them escape and go off to Canada. He then went there to speak about having a safe place for a community for them to stay at. They came up with an agreement to make it in Maryland and Virginia. Moreover he got caught, leading to him being sentenced to death for his behavior. He explained what his actions were and he got freed on December 2nd, 1859. In conclusion he made a big impact on the world, by being one of the first to be warm hearted and seeing that being a slave was unfair.
