Progressive Era- The Jungle.

1.) What qualities did Sinclair believe a person must have to succeed in Packingtown?
-Sinclair believed that a person who wanted to work their had to have these qualities, they didn't get tired easily, meaning that they never had time to rest, had a fast pace, men who would do good work and they'd have a high wage.
2.) According to the passage, what is the plant owner's main goal.
-The plant owners main goal is to produce as much as he possibly could, he didn't care about anyone else just himself. And his wealth.
3.) What does Sinclair mean when he says, "...there was no place in it where a man counted for anything against a dollar....?"
- It means that no man was compared to his money, if he didn't like him he'd just replace him while at the same time he'd have money.

The FDA requires that fast food workers take tests on knowing when to see food-borne illnesses. This isn't all, they also have to rinse their hands every 20 minutes and prevent cross contamination. The storage of where you have food has to be at 45 degrees F to prevent bacteria from growing. Moreover now days the FDA requires fast food restaurants to label their nutrition facts because of the problems that are happening in the world relating to people, such as: obesity, heart disease and diabetes.
