The Americans wanted to rebuild it while the Soviets wanted to crush it.

They thought that economic growth was the key to world peace.
3.) What was "deceleration of liberated Europe, and how successful was it?"
It let the people chose their own goverment, or democracy. It wasn't very successful, they didn't end up getting democracy because Soviets took control.

Allies controlled Germany.
